Frequently asked questions

What the first release supports, blocks and records.

Which links are supported?

Apple episode URLs, full Xiaoyuzhou share URLs, Spotify open.spotify.com/episode/ links and public RSS. Spotify audio saving and JSON/TXT exports require a reliable public RSS match. When several episodes match, choose one before saving. Without a match, download is unavailable. Use an episode link, not a show page. Short links, app-scheme URLs and Ximalaya are not supported yet.

Why can’t some episodes be resolved?

First check that you copied a full, publicly accessible episode URL. Paid, private or encrypted content, missing public audio URLs and source connection failures produce clear errors; restrictions are not bypassed. Retry temporary failures later rather than clicking repeatedly. For older Apple episodes that cannot be located, try selecting the same episode from the publisher’s public RSS feed.

Does this site store audio?

No. The resolver reads public metadata only. Your browser connects directly to the publisher for audio; this site does not proxy, cache or host it.

How much does it cost?

Single-episode audio resolution and metadata exports are free. To support the site, use Buy Me a Coffee in the support section above the homepage guide. Donations are optional and do not affect free access. Memberships, credits and recharge are not available. Nothing is charged automatically.

Do you log the links I paste?

No account history or analytics are collected. The service uses bounded temporary jobs and metadata caches. Refreshing does not restore links or job credentials. Privacy information must still be checked against the actual public logging configuration.

How do I submit a copyright complaint or source block request?

Open Copyright Complaints in the footer and follow the checklist to contact us by email. Provide the source URL and your rights statement, not passwords, cookies or private subscription credentials.

Can I choose MP3/M4A? Why does the audio play first?

The “Save audio” button opens the publisher’s original file in a new tab, which your browser may play first. Use the player’s download menu or the browser’s Save As command. An MP3 source stays MP3; an M4A source stays M4A. There is currently no format selector or transcoding. Availability depends on the source and browser. Metadata resolution does not proxy audio.

Why is the exported TXT not a speech transcript?

The TXT file contains episode metadata such as its title, date and source, not a speech transcript. Audio transcription is not available in the public first release.

Why is the input cleared? How do I resume after failure or refresh?

A successfully resolved episode clears the field for your next link while leaving its result visible. RSS selection and failures keep the input for choosing, retrying or editing. After a connection interruption, check the same task first; resubmit only if it has expired. Refreshing requires pasting the link again and never automatically submits it.
