Apple Podcasts Downloader: Save Public Episode Audio
Use a public Apple Podcasts episode link to find the publisher’s audio. PodConverter is free and does not require an account.
Start with the right link
Copy a specific episode link
Open the episode, choose Share and copy the full web link. An episode URL normally contains an i= identifier. A show page alone does not identify the episode you want.
https://podcasts.apple.com/…/podcast/…/id…?i=…Paste the link and check the result
Open PodConverter, paste the full link and start resolving. Compare the show, episode title and duration before saving. Do not paste account details, cookies or private subscription links.
Save the publisher’s audio
Choose Save audio to open the original file. If the browser plays it, use its download menu or Save as where available. JSON and TXT export episode details, not a transcript.
Where does the audio come from?
Apple Podcasts is a directory. PodConverter uses public episode information to locate the episode in the publisher’s public RSS feed. The browser connects directly to the publisher’s audio host; PodConverter does not host or relay that audio.
Why can an older episode be missing?
A publisher may remove old items from the current feed or make an episode unavailable. If the Apple link cannot locate it, try the publisher’s public RSS and choose the same episode. A listing in an app does not guarantee an accessible public audio file.
Does this convert Apple Podcasts to MP3?
The source format stays the same. MP3 audio is saved as MP3; M4A remains M4A. PodConverter does not transcode, and changing a filename extension does not convert the file.
What if saving fails?
Check that you copied an episode link rather than a show or app-only link. Temporary publisher errors or rate limits may require trying later. Paid, private, encrypted or unavailable audio cannot be unlocked by this tool. Only save content you are entitled to use. PodConverter is independent and is not affiliated with Apple.
